With the Coronavirus sweeping through the world, we need to be investing in our health and wellness by eating good nutrition and exercise more than ever. In particular those of us who have heart disease or a history of heart problems as you may have a harder time fighting off viruses. Viral infections put added stress on your body which can affect your heart rate, blood pressure, and overall heart function, and raise your odds of having a heart attack. Heart disease is one the leading causes of death globally and in Australia it is the single leading cause of death. (Australian Bureau of Statistics 2018).
